MY STORY

Sarah created and produced the award-winning “Abuelita’s Kitchen” series in 2021. In 2023-24, she created a documentary series “Abuelitas on the Borderlands,” which she produced and co-directed short documentaries in Tucson, El Paso, San Diego and Los Angeles with the support of the National Endowment for the Humanities. The films bring to life the stories of food and migration centered around four borderland cities—Los Angeles, San Diego, Tucson and El Paso.
